Welcome to Serenity’s latest feature release!

We're excited to share the latest enhancements and features now available in Serenity’s 7.8 release on Ascend. These updates will be available for Serenity Enterprise in October 2024. This update brings enhanced data privacy, improved accuracy in performance analytics, AI-driven risk assessments, and more. Here's what’s new:

Dive into the details below to understand how these enhancements can boost your operations and strengthen your EHS management capabilities.

Privacy Case Support in Workspace (Incidents)

We now offer native support for privacy cases within the EHS workspace. This feature allows users to:

What’s the benefit? You can enhance your data privacy and compliance while eliminating the need for customization to support privacy case requirements.

Integration & Automation for Hours Worked (Incidents)

PA Indicators for Actual Hours Worked

Our new performance analytics indicator aggregates actual hours worked using data imported from HR/Payroll systems.

What’s the benefit? Previously, out-of-the-box dashboards estimated hours using a formula (active employees per day x 8 hours). This update enhances the accuracy of key safety indicators like DART and TRIR.

Updated Time Card Entry Data Model

We updated the time card entry data model to directly reference the establishment where those hours were recorded.

What’s the benefit? Provides accurate, historical “hours worked” reports, unaffected by changes to the person’s employee profile. This simplifies the import of time card data from HR systems, both manually and via automated integration.

Additional Question Instructions (Inspections)

Users can add additional instructions to specific inspection questions using the HTML editor.

What’s the benefit? Inspection template owners can now provide inspectors with additional instructions for how to respond to a question, including support for images, bulleted lists, tables, and additional formatting.

AI Control Recommendations (Operational Risk)

We have introduced AI control recommendations to mitigate hazards identified during risk assessments.

What’s the benefit? Incorporating AI improves reporting by allowing users to add recommended controls to the control library and reuse those recommendations on future assessments. It also eliminates the manual effort required to type out control descriptions during risk assessments.

Translation Support (Core Update)

Select pages within the Serenity workspace now support internationalization, allowing translation into all languages supported by ServiceNow:

Note: Requires translation service provided by Serenity's professional services organization.
