Inspection & Audit

Re-Designed Inspection Center

Our newly redesigned inspection center page prioritizes your work, making it easier to quickly identify inspections and templates that are assigned to the user. This re-design removes the hassle of sorting and filtering through long lists of open inspections. Instead, it streamlines the user journey, putting essential information front and center for users.

Inspection Template-Based Permissions

We’ve added more control to our inspection templates by introducing flexible security rules. Now, template owners can choose exactly which users or groups have access to their templates and can complete inspections created from them.

What’s the benefit?

This update makes managing inspections simpler and more organized!

PDF Report Designer

We've introduced an easy-to-use interface that enables inspection template owners to configure formatted PDF reports upon completion of their inspection tasks.

The PDF Report Designer eliminates the need for technical consultants to manually configure PDF reports for each template. Now, you can easily design reports yourself-whether it's a quick summary or a detailed report with questions, answers, scores, and attachments. It's all about giving you flexibility and control.

Required & Optional Questions

Inspection template owners now have the ability to define inspection questions as either required (default) or optional.

Why is this helpful?

Note: Only required questions will count toward the overall score, ensuring that the final scores are accurate and reliable.

Additional Question Instructions

Now, users can easily add extra instructions to specific inspection questions using a simple HTML editor. This means inspection template owners can give inspectors more detailed guidance on how to answer a question, and can include helpful elements like images, bullet points, tables, and other formatting options to make the instructions clearer and more organized.

Entity Browser on New Inspection Experience

Users can easily browse through the entity tree when creating a new inspection task manually.

Why is this useful?

This update helps streamline the process of setting up inspections by making it simpler to locate the correct entity.

EHS Incidents & Investigations

What’s the benefit?

Analytics for Actual Hours Worked

Our new performance analytics indicator aggregates actual hours worked using data imported from HR/Payroll systems. Previously, out-of-the-box dashboards estimated hours using a formula (active employees per day x 8 hours). This update enhances the accuracy of key safety indicators like DART and TRIR.

Updated Injury Data Model

The updated injury case data model removes the requirement to reference an existing person in the personnel directory when creating a new injury report.

This simplifies the process of recording injuries for external personnel that may not be listed in the HR directory. It also addresses the previous concern of the integrity of historical injury reports and dashboards that could be affected by changes in HR data over time.

Updated Time Card Entry Data Model

Our updated time card entry data model enables users to directly reference the establishment/location where hours were recorded.

This updated provides accurate reports of historical hours worked, even if a person's employee profile changes later on. It also makes it easier to import time card data from HR systems, whether manually or through automated integration.

This update simplifies time tracking and ensures more reliable reporting!

Risk Assessments

Re-Designed Risk Center

Our re-designed Risk Center page prioritizes your work, making it easier to quickly identify risk assessments and templates that are assigned to the user.

What’s the benefit?

This re-design removes the hassle of sorting and filtering through long lists of open risk assessments and streamlines the user journey, putting essential information front-and-center for users.

Risk Template-Based Permissions

We've introduced more detailed security lists and permissions, allowing template owners to control who can access and complete risk assessments using specific templates.

Why is this beneficial?

This makes managing risk assessment templates more efficient and user-friendly!

AI Control Recommendations

Our Risk Assessment application now has AI control recommendations to mitigate hazards identified during risk assessments.

AI control recommendations improve reporting by allowing users to add recommended controls to the control library and reuse those recommendations on future assessments. This eliminates the manual effort required to type out control descriptions during assessments, saving valuable time.

Entity Browser on New Assessment Experience

Users can now easily browse the entity tree when manually creating a new risk assessment. This new feature helps you find the right entity, even if you don't know its exact name. You can still search by name if you do know it. This makes setting up risk assessments quicker and more efficient!

Operational Compliance

Operational Compliance Re-Design

Our Operational Compliance solution is now Workspace enabled, with several new usability improvements to keep track of your compliance obligations. This re-design focuses on simplifying the process for creating recurring compliance tasks, managing the tasks, and viewing tasks using a calendar.

Operational Compliance Calendar

With the new Operational Compliance calendar, users can build and visualize a comprehensive schedule of recurring compliance-related tasks and deadlines at each establishment.

With automated reminders, status updates, and easy access to compliance documentation, operational compliance helps organizations stay organized and maintain adherence to safety and environmental regulations, permit requirements, and more.

Serenity Core

Translation Support

Select pages within the Serenity Workspace now support internationalization, allowing translation into all languages supported by ServiceNow:

Note: Requires translation service provided by Serenity’s professional services organization.

Initiative Scheduler: Assignment Rules

We've improved the initiative scheduler so users can now set assignment rules for schedules.

What’s the benefit?

You can assign all tasks to one user or group, or dynamically assign tasks to a group/user based on the entity record. This ensures tasks are assigned right away, reducing the need for manual assignment by an inspection/risk Admin.

Bugfix for Unsaved Changes

We’ve updated the task pages to ensure users save any unsaved changes in forms before moving forward in the workflow. This prevents the risk of losing unsaved changes when closing, canceling, or advancing the workflow, making sure all your work is saved!
